The Pride of Yorkshire trail app helps visitors discover, collect and track sculptures across South Yorkshire. Combining interactive maps, digital collections, quests and rewards, the platform transforms a traditional sculpture trail into an engaging experience that encourages exploration, repeat visits and deeper participation throughout the campaign. Based on our flexible discovery platform, the technology can be adapted for a wide range of location-based experiences.

The Pride of Yorkshire website acts as the central hub for the entire campaign, bringing together information about the trail, fundraising, artists, sponsors and events. Designed to engage visitors before, during and after the trail, it provides an accessible and engaging experience while supporting Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity’s most ambitious fundraising campaign to date.

Created for Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity in 2021, the Bears of Sheffield app transformed a city-wide sculpture trail into an interactive discovery experience. Visitors could explore sculpture locations, collect bears as they travelled around the city and learn more about the artists, sponsors and stories behind each installation. The project demonstrated how digital engagement can enhance public art, tourism and fundraising initiatives.

The Get Involved section was designed to encourage participation from businesses, schools, community groups, volunteers and supporters. By providing clear pathways for sponsorship, fundraising and volunteering opportunities, the platform helps bring together organisations and individuals from across South Yorkshire to support the campaign and its charitable goals.

Community Engagement

Each sculpture is given its own dedicated profile page, featuring artwork, artist information, sponsors, locations and collection details. These pages help visitors connect with the stories behind the sculptures while providing a rich, searchable catalogue that enhances both the physical trail experience and long-term engagement with the campaign.
